June 2010
Look I love: Katy Perry's stellar maxi dress
This dress is gorgeous!
I’ve said this before but Katy’s style is quite unique and I lovelovelove that she’s always surprising me (us) with interesting pieces.
She pulls from lesser known designers and it’s always nice to be exposed to something new.
Her Chanel sandals also look quite special.
Not only do we get Drew Barrymore today but we get Rachel McAdams as well.
It’s not often that we see her either.
I like her summer look here, it’s a little quirky and that’s okay.
Very casual and easy going; her skirt is a little reminiscent of a tribal print and I love the wedges.
Her purse caught my eye as it was in the Miu Miu spring 2010 ads:
I was never a big fan...
I can’t get enough of Jessica Alba lately.
She’s been in France the last couple of days and has really stepped up her fashion game in casual, chic ways. This is such a great summer look.
I’m always obsessed with stripes so I particularly like this skirt she’s wearing.
I’m a little tired of Nicole Richie’s dress+tights+jean jacket uniform.
It was only cute the first 5 times.
I think that when Zoe dressed her we saw a lot more variety even if it was the same basic idea.

Prada gets a little too ambitious with the latest trends.
[$750 @ Saks]
Their clog + military combo is a no.
Dree Hemingway at the NY screening of Twilight Eclipse.
Lovelovelove the grey on grey.
The thing about wearing the same color with the same color is that it can be really tough to find a good pairing.
Clearly not an issue for Dree who looks great in this ensemble. Love the casual tshirt tucked into the beautiful, draped skirt.
Alexander McQueen Cruise 2011
This is Sarah Burton’s first full collection for Alexander McQueen…
And I must say, clearly the brand is in good hands.
This is beautiful, thoughtful and detailed clothing; I have no doubt McQueen would approve.
5 Beauty Essentials HLC could not live without
Despite my ridiculous collection of beauty products, I was able to narrow down 5 things I could not be without.
Aquaphor. This stuff is a life saver for dry skin.
Chapstick. I rarely wear lipgloss or lipstick I find that cherry Chapstick gives me a little color, a little sheen and plenty of moisture.
Philosophy Amazing Grace body lotion. Not only does it smell fresh and clean, but it feels...
Jessica Alba looks sufficiently fashionable but comfortable in France.
Love the green pants. Especially because they aren’t cargo pants.
[I think that is what I’m looking for. No cargo pockets.]
She styles them well here with metallic sandals and an interesting necklace.
Twilight premiered in Belgium and while the whole cast was not there, Ashley Greene looked beautiful representing them.
She wore a very sophisticated Azzarro dress and while I love this look, it just seems a little too matronly for such a beautiful, young woman especially for a red carpet premiere…
Summer style: Drew Berrymore
We don’t see too much of her, and we especially don’t see her looking this polished.
Love this flower print dress which she accessorized nicely with red heels and a pair of fun sunglasses.
Nothing like a pretty dress in the summertime.
Oh hey Rachel, a little late…
[Margherita Missoni at a Charity Gala in Milan]
I have a love/hate with Margherita Missoni.
On one hand I love how loyal she is to Missoni, wearing it to nearly any event she attends.
She is adorable and so gorgeous.
On the other hand, I hate how she tends to over do it.
This is a time when I love her.
Fresh faced and effortless.
Hippie chic never looked so good or so graceful.
Kate Moss at the Glastonbury musical festival.
If I didn’t know any better I would have mistaken her for a groupie.
But real talk.
I like this rock n’ roll look.
Camilla Belle attended a Dior party in Paris wearing a gorgeous dress from the Christian Dior Resort 2011 collection.
When the collection was shown in Shanghai a last month I was in love with the girly frocks.
Camilla is the perfect lady for this lovely pale green dress.
Darling Emily,
I think I have found the mystery shoes.
Bottega Veneta T-Strap platform sandal.
They were available @ DSW for a total steal of $199 but they only have a size 5.
I hope you can find them!
Monkey see, monkey do.
Fendi’s chain-front platform pump.
To be fair, I am not sure when exactly this shoe made its way onto the scene.
But because I am so obsessed with Lanvin’s multiple version of the chain+shoe combo, I am inclined to say it was after Lanvin.
Either way.
Fendi’s version doesn’t come close. So there.
D&G Fall 2010 ad campaign
Loved the snowbunny theme of the show.
Adorable ads.
Summer style: Kelly Ripa
I am a big fan of Kelly.
[Except for the ridicibuff arms]
Love her laid back style here:
A simple dress with a great pair of shoes and even greater bag.
Since the dress is particularly plain it leaves tons of room to play with extras and she does just the right accessories for a put together but easy summer look.
Chloé’s Marcie Hobo Cross-Body leather bag
aka
Their version of the messenger bag.
I don’t think anything will replace the PS1, but I am really enjoying seeing the variety of messenger style bags that are popping up.
This bag is…cute.
Not a must have.
Things I like:
I like this bag’s overall attempt. The ties on the front are nice touch and it’s a nice...
Kristen Stewart at the screening of Eclipse in NY yesterday.
She wore a modified Roland Mouret Fall 2010 dress.
Amanda Seyfried wore a similar dress a few months ago.
This isn’t as good as yesterday but still, I am completely obsessed with her new look.
[Taken about a week and a half apart]
Her dark hair really cast a shadow over the styling.
As I was looking at photos I was...
Summer style: Kate Bosworth
Yes yes yes.
Keeping it simple, but not boring.
Another pair of cargo pants has surfaced and you know what? I think this is my new favorite. You can see it definitely looks more like the Paige Denim pair than the J Brand pair. These just seems easier to wear, give off the effortless vibe and I like that they are slightly cropped.
AG Adriano Goldschmied “The Slim” Cargo Pants -...
Would you let Naomi Campbell hold your child?
There’s a 50% chance she would throw it at the paparazzi in a fit of anger.
Look I love: Sienna Miller
This, in theory, is ugly.
Perhaps even fugly.
I think cropped tops are kind of icky.
Something about belly flaunting doesn’t sit well with me.
Then there is Sienna Miller who pairs hers with high waisted shorts.
Unexpected.
Yet somehow unbelievable perfect.
Also, seriously into those shoes.
Shorts and shoes are Topshop!
Suede shorts = summer version of leather shorts. Love.
Vanessa Hudgens covers Glamour Magazine // August...
The kittens?
Seriously?
Since I didn’t watch the BET show, while I was casually flipping through more photos this morning my jaw dropped.
Ciara.
Again.
This time, DSquared Fall 2010.
And, you guys!
She wore the fucking skeleton shoes!!
It’s a little hard to see in this photo but, do you see them?!
RE: Kristen Stewart's dress
She seriously stunned in Hervé Léger Fall 2010.
Not only was her hair a hit, but the bodycon mini dress looked fabulous on her.
I didn’t really talk much about it yesterday because I was in awe over the hair but I think this is a great look for her.
Sassy without being overly slutty and best of all she looks comfortable and…happy!
I am now eager to see what she comes up with in...
The PS1 madness just goes on and on and on!
Say hello to the Mini Messenger PS1.
Available in all its mother effing amazing glory at Barneys for $1,595.
Things I like: every fucking aspect of this bag.
But.
Especially the chain link shoulder strap.
Don’t let the name fool you. The bag is a pretty good size.
I think “mini” is just a selling point.
And.
It works.

Wearing my most favoritest Lanvin sandals in the whole wide world tonight…
Vie! They are absolutely gorgeous on you.
I had not seen this sandal version but I am just as in love with these as the rest!
Weekend celebrity summer style
Three different looks.
They all nailed it.
Jessica Alba walked around Paris with little Honor. Casual but she manages to make denim shorts look a little more refined and those green sandals are a pleasant splash of color.
Alessandra Ambrosio went with the print maxi dress and I am obsessed with the asymmetrical neckline and the ruffles. A welcome change to the usual tank straps.
Finally Emma...
I very much approve of what might be the beginning of a transformation for this girl.
Kristen Stewart’s new hair color is really quite excellent and is definitely a breath of fresh air.
What's new from Miu Miu
…new to Netaporter at least.
The fringed leather hobo bag.
I love fringe. Fringe adds so much to any outfit because it’s unexpected and it’s fun. That being said, I’ve never really had an interest in fringed purses and this is no exception. There’s just something very unappealing about a) the amount of fringe and b) the placement.
It looks awkward on the model.
...
I love it when ad campaigns start rolling out.
Here is the latest from Lanvin
The intensity is palpable.
Kirsten Dunst loves Miu Miu
She wore a skirt in the same pattern in Cannes:
This has got to be one of Miu Miu’s most successful (and recognizable) designs in recent times. Whether it is the sparrow or lady print, some variation has been spotted on everyone from Keira Knighteley to Victoria Beckham.
Carine Roitfeld looks amazing.
This is the ultimate in simple, summer chic.
The white flared denim paired with the safari (or military take your pick)esque shirt is sufficiently trendy.
So, so lovely.
The red carpet style at the BET awards was so shiteous I didn’t feel the need for coverage.
Butbutbut.
I couldn’t not mention Ciara.
Ciara in Balmain Fall 2010.
Destroyed every other woman to walk that carpet.
It’s sexy, it’s powerful.
It’s mother fucking Balmain.
Technical difficulties yet again this morning.
Burberry Fall 2010 ad campaign
And yes that is Rosie Huntington Whiteley.
Victoria Beckham shows off longer hair in St. Tropez.
I like this length. It’s not over the top extensions like she used to have but a nice change from the shorter hair she’s had for a while now.
Her outfit is as adorable as ever. Yellow mini dress + Brian Atwood ‘Zenith’ pumps and a Birkin, of course.
Louis Vuitton Spring 2011.
I'm nuts over the Acne 'Admire' boot
[$680 @ Acne]
From pre-fall.
Desperately need in order to add just a little grunge to my fall wardrobe.
This is.
A fucking boot.
Natasha Poly covers Vogue (Korea) // July 2010
Because some of you little brats were skeptical about them being Louboutin:
In your face!
Just kidding.
But really.
Look for less: Miu Miu clogs
Steve Madden is really our trusty go to for look for less when it comes to coveted designer shoes.
The Miu Miu pair (R, obvs) is on sale at Saks, Barneys, etc. but in very limited sizes for under $250. The Steve Madden pair also happens to be on sale for a cool $100 and is available in just about every size here.
Either will make for a great summer shoe.
Dries Van Noten brings us tie-dye for men!
From their Spring 2011 collection: paint splatters!
This will make for some unbelievable DIY projects.
I can feel it.
Emma’s boots are Christian Louboutin Egoutina Boots from the Fall 2010 collection.
Also available in red patent and cream.
Love.
Can someone please tell me
if these Miu Miu platforms were available in the US?
I am dying over here!
So ridiculously unwearably fabulous that I must own.

Emma Watson in Louis Vuitton Fall 2010
She wore a corset in the same print as the skirt from the runway show.
I like that she took it and ran with it mixing it into a very casual setting and outfit but to be perfectly honest I’m not feeling the full look here.
Perhaps a different pair of shorts could have swayed my opinion.
Love the corset though.
