Beauty product review: REN Skincare // “six of the best”
I’m on a never ending search for the perfect skin care line.
After going through just about every brand imaginable (we’re talking Neutrogena to La Mer) I may have found the one.
A little bit about REN:
REN aims to pioneer new ways of applying the latest discoveries in bioactive technology to produce formulas that boost the skin’s natural process to protect, repair, and renew. Their Clean Bio Active Skincare line packs the purest plant-derived and bioactive elements (like collagen-boosting peptides from wheat) to offer proven results that are beneficial for the skin and targets specific cell processes. Bioactive technology is what makes REN skincare increasingly effective to help you achieve and maintain beautiful, healthy skin the way nature intended.
And if the pleasure principle of using their exquisite formulations weren’t enough already, the socially conscious line donates 2.5 percent of their profit to campaigns that promote a better environment—so you can feel good about Ren in more ways than one.
- Sephora
If that description alone hasn’t already piqued your interest, allow me to tell you about my experience with REN so far.
I’ve been using REN for a week now. I purchased the “six of the best” kit:

It’s packed with their top selling facial products - what better way to test out the line?
What you’ll get:
- Mayblossom and Blue Cypress Balancing Facial Cleansing Gel
- Jojoba Microbead Purifying Facial Scrub
- Omega 3 Overnight Lipid Renewal Serum
- Glycolactic Skin Renewal Peel Mask
- Frankincense and Boswellia Serrata Revitalising Repair Cream
- Active 7 Radiant Eye Maintenance Serum
I have comibation skin that can be sensitive but is usually okay. After using these products my skin felt (clean, refreshed) and looked (glowy and healthy) incredible. I partciularly like the cleansing gel, the glycolactic peel and the overnight lipid renewal serum. But as soon as my starter kit runs out, I will be purchasing all six products in their full size.
REN isn’t inexpensive, but hey’re not aiming to gouge your eyes out with their prices either.
This is very much a case of you are getting what you pay for.
And in this case that means quality products that will help you achieve (or maintain) excellent, healthy skin.
